2nd Company Owned Land In Badulla is set for Vanilla cultivation under Royal Planation

Vanilla being a comparatively new crop establishing in Sri Lanka, is used as a flavor ingredient in the confectionery industry, perfumery, and pharmaceutical industries. Of the four vanilla cultivars commercially cultivated in the world, Sri Lankan natural vanilla cultivators, like others in the Indian ocean, produce Bourbon vanilla or Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla derived from the Vanilla Planifolia species.

Royal Plantation being a new entree in to the market is now in the verge of completing the preliminarily ground work in the soil on the company owned 2nd Land which is situated in Badulla, a town located in Badulla District, Uva Province of Sri Lanka. The perfect climatic conditions in Badulla which suits the conditions to grow Vanilla made Royal Plantations to acquire the land under the company and prepare the ground work in the past few months targeting the harvest in next 8-9 months.
